Star Wars

I got this T-shirt in my super-rad haul from Static Vintage in San Fransisco when I went last year. Remarkably, this is the only Star Wars shirt I’ve ever had in my own closet. I wear it rarely so it is still in excellent condition, but when I do there are always lots of comments on it from both my kids (Usually something like “Mom! Mom! YOU’VE GOT A STAR WARS SHIRT ON!!! I LOVE STAR WARS!!!”) and grown-ups alike.   There are so many great Star Wars T-shirts out there (I have a life goal to someday have a...

Rock Roach

I was out of town one day and hit a Sal’s, where I found this rad Roach iron on T shirt in MINT condition. It is so incredibly soft too! Love the subscript which is done in Roman numerals for 82, too. I have a couple of other Roach shirts in my collection too, they were one of my favorite designers. Roach was a major iron on design company in the 70s & 80s, and they also had a brand of blank T shirts. The Shirt: 1982 Skull & Guitars Roach Iron On T Shirt The Tag: ripped out, but...

Soul Asylum Clam Dip & Other Delights T-Shirt

This rare Soul Asylum T-Shirt is from the 1989 release of their EP "Clam Dip & Other Delights". The album cover was a parody of Herp Albert's classic cover on "Whipped Cream & Other Delights", and the font on this shirt and that cover are instantly recognizable to record collectors who have seen that album in their local records shops countless times. The Shirt: Soul Asylum "Clam Dip & Other Delights" The Tag: Fruit of the Loom 100% cotton This T-shirt has already sold and I do not have another at this time. All items listed in the T-shirt archives...

Denton’s Demon Dogs Raglan

Denton’s Demon Dogs Raglan

This is one of my favorites for years, that I scored over 20 years ago at a Salvation Army for $1. I love it for the Rocky Horror Picture Show reference, though it really isn’t one at all – Denton is both the town that Brad & Janet go to for their friends’ wedding, and also the name of a small township in northern Michigan. Though the shirt isn’t subscripted, I’m pretty sure it is from the early to mid-80s, from the tag and the buttery softness of the fabric. I love it when the weather turns a little cooler,...

Art of Noise

Art of Noise

It was one of the “holy grail” T shirts on my search list – a black shirt for The Art of Noise. Really, I just wanted anything that wasn’t a white shirt. I have one for their album “In Visible Silence”, which seems to be the T shirt that I saw 98% of the time when I did see one online (a number of different variations of it), but that shirt is white and after 30+ years mine is a little more transparent than white for my personal tastes. A black one was definitely needed.* Anyways…a regular search on Ebay,...
