The Damned “Smash It Up”
Posted by Bethany Nixon on
I got this T-shirt 20+ years ago at a thrift store for just a dollar & it was my very first Damned T-shirt (my other in my collection is here), and a very lucky find. It is not an original (Smash It Up was released as a single in 1979), but is from the mid-80s, and is very soft and thin – one of my favorite tees to wear. Those of you who aren’t familiar with the band The Damned might also know this song as being covered by The Offspring back in 1995 – the same year I found...
Detroit Pistons Bad Boys 89-90 Back to Back Championship

After I sold it I regretted it (#vintagedealerproblems) and started a hunt for one for myself. 2 years later I found one in my size and in heather gray. It's been on heavy rotation in my closet ever since! The Shirt: Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam The Tag: Both on a Screen Stars 50/50
Sonic’s Rendezvous Band

This 1970s shirt for Fred Sonic Smith's band post-MC5 , which also included Scott Morgan of The Rationals, Gary Rasmussen of The Up, and Scott Asheton of The Stooges, and this logo for the band was in Patti Smith's handwriting. This shirt was a true piece of Detroit Music history, and it was a great pleasure having this very rare shirt in my workspace for some time. The Shirt: Sonic’s Rendezvous Band T Shirt The Brand: Generic 50% combed cotton/50% polyester tag, but this has the same RN number as what would be later known as Screen Stars in...
