The Grateful Dead sponsored the Lithuanian national basketball team in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and continued their partnership with them at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The band and their designers created a new, commemorative tie-dye warm-up shirt for the team. Instead of the famous "slam-dunking skeleton," this new design was created, featuring the Grateful Dead’s lightning bold over a basketball. The team went on to secure their second consecutive Olympic bronze medal in Atlanta. This insane tie-dye is iconic and in great shape, an iconic one for any GD collector!
