Destroyer Duck T-shirt

Destroyer Duck T-shirt
$200.00

Destroyer Duck was an incredibly short-lived comic book (seriously, it lasted only 7 issues), created in 1982. The comic book was created and published to help the writer, Steve Gerber, raise money for his lawsuit battle against Marvel Comics over the ownership of Howard the Duck, which Gerber created for the company in 1973.

Destroyer Duck is best known for launching Groo the Wanderer, with the first appearance of Groo (a character and comic created by Sergio Aragones of Mad Magazine) in it's first issue. The art on this shirt is from the cover of that first issue. Shirt is dated 1984 in the subscript.
