Make a Ruffled Fabric Corsage

For Craft Revival tomorrow, the ladies of Handmade Detroit made corsages for the first 50 mom shoppers! There are four different kinds, each from different materials and using unique techniques. These are the corsages I made, from vintage fabric and buttons of course! For those of you who can’t make it to the fair, here’s [...]

Mix Tape!

I was super bummed to hear about Davy Jones’ passing this week. The Monkees were my favorite band as a kid – the first band that I really was passionate about. My best friend and I danced to their song Cuddly Toy in the 4th grade talent show, and I really feel like my Monkees [...]

Craft Revival

Craft Revival was so much fun! See more pictures on my Flickr. Highlight of the fair? Meeting a guy who actually signed his driver’s license “Ted Nugent”, and the Secretary of State actually didn’t notice…for over 10 years now! He bought a Ted Nugent notebook from me, and of course, I gave him a discount [...]

Our baby shower was SO much fun! Lish and Nick sure know how to throw a party, and with help from the Handmade Detroit family and extended family, it was just about the cutest thing ever. This was the foyer as you walked in – Carey got the elephant and seal designs from a vintage [...]
