The new lady in my life

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Susie here is going to help out with the modeling over the upcoming winter so my friends don’t get frostbite. I just got her in the mail yesterday, and her and my boy mannequin (Tommy) are getting along famously so far. All she needs is a best girl friend who wears a larger size now!

(And yes, that is an authentic Nirvana poster - a favorite garage sale find years ago!)

Sorry to all the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” fans!

45 necklaces in 1 day

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

A few days ago I found a fantastic vintage wooden children’s game, and instantly knew what to make with it - a lot of necklaces! Last night I had some spare time while Dan was skateboarding and hours later - voila! I had never made necklaces before, so it was exciting and a definite learning experience (I even assembled the chains myself!). I took the opportunity to turn a couple random earrings laying around into necklaces, too.

These will be put up on the website for sale as soon as I get my new lady mannequin in the mail - probably a week or so (except the violin and the yarn - I need to keep those for myself)!

Amazement

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Lately a few people have asked if I’ll be making anything from old cassette tapes soon. One friend gave me an idea that I’d like to try after the Christmas season, and now I’m brainstorming some others lately. Nothing as complicated or time consuming as this crazy project, though!

Have an idea for something you’d like me to try out? Let me know!
