I can’t believe it is almost the end of my second trimester! It has been both a long and short week at the same time, if you know what I mean. The temps have been absolutely frigid, so we’ve pretty much stayed home all week. Thursday, Roy and I both woke up with crazy cabin fever, so we went to an indoor playground/coffeehouse called Jungle Java and we both had a lot of fun. The baby was kicking a ton while we were there, maybe because of all the kids screaming…maybe because I had a coffee? Either way, it was a welcomed afternoon out for both of us.
Which got me thinking…I want a lot more of those kinds of days before the baby is here. We ALL deserve that. So for the next few weeks, we are going to focus on fun. Fun for Roy, Dan and for me. More time playing, relaxing, sewing, and seeing friends…less time working. I am always grateful for this job – owning my own business is a lot of work, but can also be flexible when our family needs it. Right now, we do.
I’ll still be writing. I can’t imagine NOT writing for a few weeks – I’d miss it way too much! So keep coming back to hear about what we are up to and what we are doing through this “semi-vacation”. And if you want to see/read more, follow me on Twitter and Instagram too!
(On a side note, I went and looked at my 25 weeks post when I was pregnant with Roy…this was the week that we bought our home, and funny enough, took nearly the same picture in the same part of the house. What a coincidence!)
