DIY Street Fair ended late Sunday night, but I am still recovering – what a weekend! I had an awesome time meeting so many new customers, visiting with old friends, and checking out all the incredible bands and biz’s there!
There were over 100 indie crafters, artists and businesses, and dozens of local bands on three different stages. And one super cool vintage ferris wheel that I wish I could have gone on! Isn’t it cute? I glad I DID get to finally see the Weird Sisters perform, and absolutely loved it – you can see lots of pictures of their performance there on Sarah’s blog.
With my new (old) travel record player, I enjoyed hanging out in my tent even more and smiled every time I saw a shopper bop their head or tap their foot along with the music. Thanks to Marcy Davy for making my cute “Now Playing” sign!
Thanks to all the DIY Street Fair organizers and volunteers – you guys make this one of my favorite weekends each and every year! Extra big thanks to Gabbey, Sarah Sparkles and Monica J for helping me out over the weekend, and to my awesome neighbors in the Handmade Detroit and Cass Brand Organics!
