Some exciting things have been going on here the last couple weeks!
Detroit Urban Craft Fair applications are open!
Baar Bazaar was featured in Velvet Rope in the Metrotimes (with a slightly wrong name). Photo by Esther Rubyan.
and Handmade Detroit was named one of the best 50 products from Michigan by Real Detroit!
We had a great time at the Cruisefest in downtown Berkley (still staying away from the actual Dream Cruise). Roy especially liked waving at about 200 cars in a row!
and I had a difficult time containing my excitement in the new Converse store.
Roy kept being adorable
and I’ve been stitching up some great new skirts for the shop for fall!
Some of my favorite reads this week:
Billy Idol is playing this guy’s birthday party in Seattle and they are both geniuses.
I loved this editorial on raising successful parenting in the NY Times. Couldn’t agree more, although it is tough to sometimes follow!
Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess shared their “Blog Brainstorming” secrets, and I’m inspired to get a little more organized than the single list I have in Listery on my Iphone.
Megan Nielsen has some great tips on purchasing a dress form or mannequin – helpful for sewers and other online sellers!
Brian Cranston, teen heartthrob?!? Yep, back in 1985!
