Detroit Urban Craft Fair this Weekend!

This weekend is one of my most favorite weekends of the whole year – it’s Detroit Urban Craft Fair! This year DUCF is in a new home, The Detroit Masonic Temple, and the fair is 10-7 on Saturday, 11-6 on Sunday.

I’ve been crafting away late into the night for the past couple weeks, and will have a ton of new Record Notebooks at the show! Some of my favorites are Dirty Dancing, REM, Johnny Cash, RUN DMC, Young MC, Rocky Horror Picture Show and Nancy Sinatra! I’ll also have lots of all of the favorites – Led Zeppelin, Prince, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Diamond, Bob Seger, and Elvis are all ready to become someone’s favorite Christmas present this year.

I’ve made a bunch of new colors of record earrings to debut there too! There’s a really great lavender, white and pink marbled swirl, a foggy marbled orange, a deepĀ  red and teal blue. Can’t wait to show them off!

And a new item, never sold before until this weekend! A new necklace with a simple, large vinyl pendant. Available on a gold, antiqued copper or silver chain. Great to get for a matching set with a pair of earrings, or on it’s own for just $10!

For the first time, Dan will be selling at his own table right next to me with Einfach Skate, and yes, we will have Roy with us for most of the weekend if you want to see him too :)

There is so much to do at DUCF this year – besides holiday shopping with 80+ indie crafters and artists, you can also learn to weave with Craftsanity, take a reading break in the traveling Trumbellplex Zine Library, get some yummy grub at the Chow Catering Food Truck, and talk with our sponsors Yelp Detroit, The Rust Belt Market, AIGA, and Open Skate!

The entire vendor list for DUCF is here, and you can literally get something there for everyone on your shopping list. And get that warm, mushy feeling because you are buying local, supporting someone’s art and dreams!

I hope to see my Mitten State customers and friends there. Not near Motown? You’ll see the new notebooks and jewelry popping into the website next week in time for your holiday shopping as well!
