Baby Roy’s Party Under the Big Top

Our baby shower was SO much fun! Lish and Nick sure know how to throw a party, and with help from the Handmade Detroit family and extended family, it was just about the cutest thing ever.

This was the foyer as you walked in – Carey got the elephant and seal designs from a vintage crafting book for kid’s decor!

Everyone got to make popcorn name tags for themselves.

and design a onesie for Roy! The popcorn bins were full of candy (which the kids loved) and we made lots of balloon animals, too.

Lish even made an “at home” version of Bozo the Clown’s Grand Prize Game! It was awesome.

See our name tags? There’s little sweatpants on them, ha ha. There were also little sweatpants cupcake toppers (on THE BEST dark chocolate cupcakes with tangerine-honey frosting, made by Kim!)

Nick made sliders and hot dogs on the grill and there was a crazy spread of cupcakes, brownies, salads and snacks. And a snowcone machine, seriously! It was so much fun. All day on Sunday, Dan and I kept talking about what a great time we had and how awesome it was to see so many of our friends there.

Thanks to everyone who came, all the great wishes and congrats from those that couldn’t, to Kim for making a pregnant lady’s cupcake and brownie dreams come true, and especially to the Handmade Detroit fam for bringing the usual stunning crafty magic, and to Lish and Nick for inviting everyone into their home!
