A copy of “Better Homes and Gardens: Gifts to Make Yourself” from 1972. One of my favorite vintage crafting books, I just picked up another copy from a friend, and would love to share it with you! There are TONS of great ideas and tutorials in here!
And lastly, this great vintage tassle necklace – it’s super long, and even more fancy in person!

Ok, first of all, YAY for extended b-day sale! I will have to peek at the site and see what I “can’t leave without!”
I love the “Better Homes and Gardens: Gifts to Make Yourself” book the most! I love crafty / homey / cook-type books that get the creative juices flowing, and having vintage ones are even better sometimes. Seeing what they made/did back then is awesome. Plus the whole, what’s old is new again idea. Meaning, making something that’s nostalgic and wonderful! I also think I’d read it while wearing the cute apron and take attempt to take notes in the notebook without getting distracted by Nat’s eyes.

I love them all but have to go with that gorgeous vintage necklace, it is amazing!! I love the tassle, so beautiful. The Better Homes and Garden book is awesome too, my Mom used to get the magazine, brings back memories:)

I love Nat King Cole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why??? He was so wonderful and he had a voice like butter!!! Although,that apron is so cute and I would love to have all of these gifts!

I like the apron, and the record notebook is really cool and crafty, but I have to say I like the “Better Homes and Gardens: Gifts to Make Yourself” book the most! I love making things, and learning new crafts so I think if I had that maybe I could add a few new projects to my to do list.

So all those pieces are AMAZING but I just moved to LA and our house is equipped with a beautiful 1950′s stove so I’ve been looking for a fantastic apron to complete the look. And guess what color the kitchen is? The same as the apron. Yep, I think I found my match

That apron is adorable! I cross stitched as a kid and eventually graduated to sewing and knitting, so the handiwork on it reminds me so much of that.

I love the tassel necklace because I can see myself using it to gesticulate with while I talk – and maybe swishing it at someone to get a point across? I think it’d help me win arguments.

I love the Nat King Cole record book. My parents are big on music and Nat King Cole’s music was always playing, growing up. For me it’s an item which would bring back great memories every time I looked at it.
