Lost Jacksons Tour Pics

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

I spent yesterday on the road…for 13 hours, hunting for vintage! Whoa, I got so much cool stuff and saw so many great (and weird) things, and went to some pretty spooky and creepy places as well. Unfortunately, I totally forgot to take any pictures on my venture, but you’ll see new stuff from the trip going up on the website next week – including a TON of new T shirts.

Today I worked for 3 hours in Photoshop, and gave my scanner a lot of action.

My neighbor across the street, Judy, (and first let me say she is one awesome lady!)  made an amazing discovery cleaning out her basement a couple weeks ago. She found an entire photo book full of pictures from The Jacksons Victory tour. There were over 100 pictures inside, taken from the show here in Pontiac, at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1984. She brought them over to me and we looked through the book in awe. She has no idea where the book came from, but can only guess that it was her father’s. He went to the tour, but the shots don’t seem amateur at all – there were overhead shots, very up-close shots, and even pictures of the set up of the stage beforehand. Who knows where these came from, but I’m so happy she found them!

I scanned them all in and cleaned them up this afternoon, so she can have digital copies, but she did tell me to use a few on the blog to share with all of you. So here’s my fav five:

Dang, I love Judy! Hope you enjoyed them as much as me! If you want to repost these at all, please link back to this blog post. Thanks!
