Credit Card Theivery Sucks Sale!

It’s time for a sale at Reware Vintage (for an odd reason)!

Well, to make a long story short, Reware Vintage has gotten ripped off by some asshole halfway across the world from me. A few weeks ago he used a stolen credit card to buy a whole bunch of stuff from me, and my credit card processor accepted the payment, so I shipped it out.

Yesterday I got notice in the mail that the card owner has reported the transaction fraudulent…and now I am going to get that money taken out of my bank account to return to the card owner. It doesn’t seem right to me either, I think my credit card processor should have to foot the bill – after all, they accepted the card! Several people I spoke to at the office told me that this was even a “common scam”, and that it was also obvious to them…you’d think they would have told me that before??? Apparently that isn’t how it works though.

I’m furious beyond belief, and now my little biz will be struggling, as I have a number of expenses for upcoming shows that I have applied to sell at.  Reware Vintage will be really need to tighten it’s belt and also try not to give me the Heimlich Manuever while doing so.

So…good news for all of my fantastic customers! I’m gonna run a sale through Saturday, September 29th for everyone (with a legitimate credit card) on everything at RewareVintage.com. Just use the code THIEF at checkout, and get 20% off your entire order!

Oh, and to whoever it was that ripped me off out there…I am incredibly upset, but also quite confident that karma will be biting you in the ass one day for this. I hope you enjoy your new wardrobe courtesy of my wallet.

Something similar happened to me when I had a shop-cc processor verified zip code/addy & all. But I was liable & out the product & money.

That’s horrible! I’ve heard a similar story from several people I know now. There doesn’t seem to be anything we all can do but be at the mercy of our processors and try our best. It’s really unfortunate…
