New Record Sleeve Cards!
Friday, January 23rd, 2009I’ve been saving a ton of the paper record sleeves leftover from records that I’ve cut up over the years. The blank paper, and lyrics sheets I’ve been using as packing paper for the last six months, and using some as wrapping for the record notebook refill packs, but for a long time I was still unsure what to do with the sleeves that had really great pictures on them. It seemed such a waste to just use them in an un-creative way! Then a couple weeks ago, it came to me – Greeting Cards!
Yesterday I needed a notecard to throw into a gift package I was mailing out to a friend, and after I made the Rick Astley card for her I was in love with the idea and inspired to make some more. I used more record sleeves from Rick Astley, then moved on to David Bowie, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen and the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. I’m so happy with how they turned out, I’ll certainly be making more!
They’ll be up for sale soon on the website, in packs of 3 for $5, themed by artists! Any requests? Please let me know in the comments!
