Yesterday, Stephanie and I went to the sneak preview of the Russell Bazaar, a new shopping center that will be located in the Russell Industrial Center in building three. It was a pretty neat set up inside, and interesting to take a look around, although I don’t think Reware Vintage would ever set up shop inside.

Still, its great to see people in Detroit come together to work on changing this old plant into an artist community! I’m very interested to see how this all goes in the future and am hoping that this is a success story in the making!

Have you noticed all the new items going up on rewarevintage.com this week? In case you haven’t, I’ve listed over 30 new items so far (and it’s only Wednesday!). I’m trying to get super-stocked up, as we’ve got a bunch of events coming up over the next few weeks that we’ll be selling at (check them out on the main page), plus Dan and I will be taking a road trip vacation for 5 days in July for my *gasp* 30th birthday.

Last night at Club Red Thursdays in Ferndale, my friend (and selling neighbor for the night) Phil recognized a group of guys checking out our stuff for sale as the band The Whigs. They were playing that night at the Magic Bag which is also in Ferndale, and had decided to take a walk and explore the downtown area!

They were a really nice guys, and it was cool to talk with them for a while! Tim and Julian from the band, and their friend Matt bought a few vintage T shirts from me (and may I say, “Great choices!”) and were nice enough to let me take their picture for the blog!

I had so much fun at the first “Club Red Thursdays” in downtown Ferndale, I’m signing up to do most of the Thursdays through the season! I can’t wait to see the vendors grow even more in size and all for a great cause, too!

A new Baar Bazaar is scheduled - Saturday July 5th in the Magic Stick!

Load in will begin at 7pm, and doors will open at 8. Bad Party has been scheduled to play, and a second local band will be booked soon! Bands will not start until 11pm, so there will be plenty of shopping time for everyone before the music starts!

Anything and everything is acceptable to sell clothing, books, records, crafts, art, comic books, your old toy collection, etc . It is free to sell, but you do need to bring your own table/rack. Each vendor is limited to using 1 table and 1 rack, as space is limited. If you’d like to sell, please email me at bethany@rewarevintage.com and let me know! Please give me the following info:

There are only 16 spots available, so I am going to be picking vendors from all those that email and are interested! I will let everyone know who applies by Wednesday June 18th.
