Crafting my little heart out!
I’ve decided to take this week off from the website and focus on making things for this weekend’s Green Fair. Lish and I have been hard at work coordinating and organizing the Swap-O-Rama-Rama and Rethunk booths, and now it all is coming down to the final details and making lots of stuff. Not only am I making new notebooks, earrings and other goodies to have Dan sell at the Rethunk booth, I am also making examples of items you can make using the sewing tutorials that we have written!
Its a lot of work, but it is so fun! I tend to put crafting at the end of a long to-do list for this website, so it’s been great just being creative all day! Yesterday I made special “Rethunk” editions of Handmade Detroit’s mitten pins, using some great 70′s striped wallpaper that I picked up ages ago. The pins are on a wood backing, and I also made some magnets using cork.
I quite like them!
